Wishing Well is an experience rooted in history and imagination. Set within a historic building inspired by the wishing well beneath it, this is a place where past and present meet, inviting families to slow down, make memories, and feel the wonder that lingers.
THE LEGEND OF THE WELL
Long ago, beneath this very building in Humboldt, a deep stone well was built to serve a growing frontier town. When danger came to the streets during the Civil War, a brave woman named Sophia “Sophie” Fussman lowered her most precious treasures into the well, trusting the earth to keep them safe.
And the well did just that.
For generations, it stayed hidden beneath the floor, holding stories, secrets, and quiet magic, until it was rediscovered more than a hundred years later. Some say the well still remembers the treasures it once protected, and a little bit of its magic remains.
Today, at the heart of Wishing Well Play Co., the well invites children and families to explore, to dream, to imagine…and, of course, to make a wish.
